How Blood Sugar Balance Can End Your Cravings and Holiday Stress

Hi Reader,

Before I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I was an expert at starting diets.

My "diet" always started after Halloween, mainly because I overdid it on the candy and felt bloated and puffy when I got dressed for work in the morning.

Unfortunately that diet only lasted until my next sugar craving which was almost guaranteed after a candy binge.

What I didn’t know back then was that blood sugar regulation isn’t just for people with diabetes. It’s something everyone should understand.

When you know how it works, your cravings, energy dips, and mood swings finally make sense.

So here's the chemistry behind those cravings, said in a way that's easy to understand.

When you eat sugar, it’s quickly absorbed into your bloodstream. Your body constantly monitors this sugar (called glucose) to keep you alive — how nice of it, huh?

When your blood sugar rises too high, your body releases a hormone, insulin, to move the sugar into your cells.

But if your blood sugar isn’t well-regulated, insulin can overcorrect — leaving you low on sugar.

So what does your body do? Cue the next craving.🍫

And with Halloween just behind us, there’s no shortage of sugar around to answer that craving!

So here’s my challenge for you - Instead of starting another “diet,” try going 7 days without added sugar.
Just a week can bring:

  • Less brain fog
  • Calmer thoughts (that “undiagnosed ADD” feeling might be blood sugar swings)
  • More control through the holidays — when temptations are everywhere
