Let your body talk, it knows what you need.

2026 Issue #29

Your Body Knows What It Needs

Hi Reader,

People often ask me why I started making tea, and my answer usually catches them off guard.

Honestly... it was selfish.

I didn't start making tea to open a tea business.

I started making tea because I wanted to feel better.

I wanted to improve my own health and the health of my family.

I had pill fatigue from supplement that often seemed just as processed as the pharmaceuticals I was trying to avoid.

I started paying attention to the plants growing around me on the farm.

I studied them.

I experimented.

I blended different combinations until I found teas that supported exactly what I was looking for.

When they worked, I started giving them away as Christmas gifts and birthday presents to more friends and family.

Then something unexpected happened.

People kept coming back asking for more.

"My knees actually feel better."

"I feel so calm when I drink this."

"What else do you make?"

That's when I realized these little blends might help more than just my family.

But here's what makes my teas different from the ones you'll find at the grocery store.

I grow the herbs right here on the farm without pesticides.

I harvest them at the right stage of growth.

I dry and process them in a way that preserves their beneficial constituents instead of exposing them to unnecessary heat and handling.

And every blend is crafted with intention.

Because here's what I've learned over the years...

Herbs don't have just one job.

Nettle isn't simply "an iron herb."

Chamomile isn't just "for sleep."

Plantain isn't only good for the skin.

Each herb has dozens of naturally occurring compounds that work together to support the body in different ways.

That's why tea blending is more than just picking herbs with the right benefits.

It's about understanding how they complement one another.

One herb might nourish.

Another might calm the nervous system.

Another might support digestion, circulation, or healthy inflammation.

When you combine them thoughtfully, the whole blend becomes greater than the individual herbs.

And here's my favorite part...

I believe your body already knows what it wants.

Have you ever walked through a garden and found yourself drawn to one particular plant for no obvious reason?

Or craved peppermint when you were stressed or your stomach felt off?

Or reached for lemon balm when you wanted to relax?

I've seen it happen over and over again.

Sometimes our bodies recognize what we need before our minds do.

The trick isn't finding the perfect tea.

It's learning how to listen.

That's exactly what we'll do at my Custom Tea Workshop on Friday, July 25 at 10:00 AM.

I'll teach you three different ways to create a tea blend based on your health goals, flavor preferences, and the herbs your body is naturally drawn to and you'll leave with a custom tea blend that's uniquely yours.

Whether you're completely new to herbs or you've been drinking tea for years, I think you'll have a lot of fun.

I'd love to have you join us.

👉 Reserve your spot for the July 25 Custom Tea Workshop here.

I can't wait to create tea with you.

2026 Issue #28 From Cornfield to Flower Garden: A Story About Growth and Transformation Hi Reader, I was walking through the U-pick flower and tea garden this week when I noticed something I'd never seen there before. A hummingbird. It hovered from flower to flower for just a few seconds before disappearing into the trees. I stood there smiling because a thought immediately crossed my mind... A few years ago this was just a cornfield. There weren't rows of flowers and herbs with beautiful...

2026 Issue #27 Every Symptom Has a Story Hi Reader, I’m always looking for new ways to help my clients get to the root cause of what’s going on in their bodies. Recently, I trained as a medical intuitive and have been impressed with the results when I use this method for my clients. One of my recent practice clients had struggled with seasonal allergies for years. Every spring his nose would start dripping, he’d feel stuffed up, and some days he didn’t even want to get out of bed. Allergy...

2026 Issue #26 Three Pantry Staples for Better Self-Care Hi Reader, This week was a little different around our house. The boys spent time with their grandparents and at camp, which meant something that almost never happens... The house was quiet. For about fifteen minutes, I stood there wondering what I should do with myself. Should I answer emails? Pull weeds? Start another project? Finish a project I started a few weeks ago? Instead, I did something completely out of character. I took care...
