Hi Reader,
“I LOST THE WEIGHT!”
That’s how my client started our call this week.
She was so excited to tell me how much better she felt!
She’d lost the weight she’d been struggling with.
She wasn’t nearly as tired.
And the best part?
She wasn’t even thinking about her weight anymore!
Now THAT’S a win in my book! 🎉
But let me back up.
Seven months ago, things looked very different.
When she first came to me this spring, she was frustrated.
The scale wouldn’t budge, even though she was REALLY trying.
But she did admit she felt guilty about the occasional glass of wine or donut. 🍷
(Don't worry she didn't have to give up either of those!)
And her doctor said her thyroid bloodwork was normal, but she still didn’t feel right.
Her energy was so low, she needed a nap or another cup of coffee just to get through the day.
And her brain fog?
She couldn’t remember things like she used to.
So we decided to dig a little deeper with a Mineral Test.
Her results gave us BIG clues about her metabolism, stress patterns, and other mineral balance.
Instead of another diet, we talked about her food and guess what I suggested?
Eat MORE!
Yep. More food. Not less.
(You remember that she lost weight with that advice, right? If not head on back to the top of the email 😉.)
I also made her a supplement plan, which she followed religiously.
And she added yoga to help bring some calm into her day.
Fast forward seven months…
We met to review her new Mineral Test.
And along with the changes she was feeling, we found some exciting changes in her results!
Her metabolic patterns changed.
👉 Her calcium-to-potassium ratio dropped by 75% which indicates that supporting her thyroid was the right move, because it's kicking into gear!
🤔 Wondering why her thyroid bloodwork was normal? I talked about that in an earlier blog.
Her stress-related mineral patterns changed.
Her sodium-to-magnesium ratio more than doubled, moving closer to the goal range. And her sodium-to-potassium ratio went from 5.0 to 2.67 which is the goal for that ratio.
These are two ratios I watch when looking at the body’s stress patterns.
Does that mean yoga caused the changes?
We can’t know for sure, but I recommended she keep her weekly yoga routine. 🧘♀️
Remember that brain fog?
She’s still dealing with it.
And her latest test gave us two more minerals to look at.
Copper and molybdenum.
Copper helps your body use iron, make energy, and support your nervous system.
Molybdenum helps your body break down certain compounds, including sulfites.
Her hair levels of both are still below the lab’s preferred ranges.
That doesn’t prove she’s low in either mineral, but it gives us more to explore as we strive to improve her memory.
I guess that part will have to be continued until she works on her new protocol and re-tests her minerals in about six months.
So what about YOU?
Maybe your doctor says your labs are normal.
But you’re still tired.
The scale won’t budge.
Or you walk into a room and forget why you’re there. 🙋♀️
I don’t want you to assume that’s just life after 40.
There may be more worth looking into.
That’s why I offer my Mineral Test.
We look at 28 minerals and important mineral ratios, then put those clues together with your symptoms, food, and lifestyle.
It’s not a medical diagnosis. It’s one more tool to help us build a plan around YOU.
Ready to see what your minerals might be telling you?
xo,
