What Your Minerals Reveal About Your Personality

Hi Reader,

A few years before my dad passed away…he wasn’t really himself.

He was very sick and needed dialysis for his failing kidneys. His diet restrictions, water limits, medications, and treatments… they all took a toll on his body.

At the time, I had no knowledge of nutrition or minerals. But I wish I had.

Because when his personality shifted from the funny, positive caretaker I grew up with to someone who saw the glass half empty more often than not…

I would have understood something I didn’t know then:

👉 that it wasn’t him
👉 the minerals inside his body were impacting his personality

Here's what I know now as a nutritional therapy practitioner who specializes in mineral analysis,

Your mineral levels give us a really big clue into what’s happening beneath the surface.

And since how you feel and how you act tend to go hand in hand, your mineral patterns can influence more of your personality than you might think.

Not who you are at your core. But how you experience the world day to day.

So, what do your mineral patterns say about you? Here's a few personality traits I pick up based on mineral patterns:

🐮 If your calcium and magnesium are lower - You feel everything deeply.

When I see this mineral pattern, I often see a person who is incredibly open and sensitive. If this is you, there's some great strengths that I know you have.

👉You’re intuitive.
👉You pick up on energy in a room quickly.

But that can also look like:
– feeling overwhelmed more easily
– taking things to heart
– needing more quiet time to reset

If you have high calcium → you’re strong… but it can feel heavy

You have the drive… but not always the energy to match it. You might be:
👉 reliable
👉 steady
👉 the one everyone counts on

But internally:
– motivation feels harder
– things feel heavier than they used to
– you’re pushing through more than flowing

⚠️ If your magnesium is low→ you’re mind stays "on"

This can look like:
– thinking, planning, processing… all at once
– trouble fully relaxing
– feeling wired when you want to wind down

Here's what you need to know...

Your body plays a role in how you experience your life. Are you in need of a mood makeover?

Because when your minerals are out of balance, your body has to work harder to do basic things like:
– produce energy
– regulate your mood
– respond to stress
– use your thyroid hormone efficiently

And when those systems are off…

you feel it.

2026 Issue #13 Why Potassium Still Matters More Than You Think Hi Reader, When I was running cross country in high school, our coach used to tell us to eat two bananas a day to avoid shin splints. And honestly… at 16 years old, that advice was pretty sound. I loved bananas, so I followed it religiously. And my coach was right — potassium matters. (And ha ha… there are actually a few foods that pack even more of it — like spinach, avocado, potatoes with the skin, and coconut water.) But here’s...

2026 Issue #12 How Toxic Metals Are Stored in Your Body (And How to Detect Them) Hi Reader, Imagine an old friend calls you out of the blue and says they’re in town… and on their way over. If you’re anything like me, you suddenly have about 10 minutes to “clean” your house. 😱 And let’s be honest… that version of cleaning isn’t exactly deep cleaning. It’s more like: 🧺moving the laundry pile from the couch to the back bedroom 📑stacking papers into one “organized” pile 🍽️cramming dirty dishes...

2026 Issue #11 3 Things I’m Doing to Fix My Energy as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Hi Reader, If you’re anything like me, your to-do list is probably longer than a CVS receipt. I get it. Between work, family, projects, and trying to keep everything running smoothly… being “busy” almost feels like a personality trait. And if I’m being honest, I’ve always been this way. In high school I worked part-time while ensuring straight A's in school. I still managed to spend time with friends,...
